This was an amazing fic, and once again you were completely wonderful to work with.
You call it beta'ing, I call it reading the awesome fic before everyone else. ;)
I'm going to give a teensy tiny piece of crit, and it has nothing to do with the story itself, which I loved. I do wish the Draco/Pansy and Draco/Harry/Pansy had been listed in the headers. Maybe even under a 'highlight to read' if you wanted to maintain that mystery yet give those who are neurotic about such things an indication. I did feel sort of blindsided by that scene since other pairings weren't listed. I would have read the story anyway, but I would have known what I was in for, and with pairings, that's something that's important to me as a reader. Not that you should cater to my needs or anything, lol! Look at me blathering! Argh!
Those are just my two wee cents about that!
But this story. God, this story! I just really wanted to say that you wrote an utterly EXQUISITE tale. I was blown away. Thank you for it!
I totally understand about the header. It is one of my big struggles in fanfic, deciding what to put in the damn header. I consider it a conundrum in marketing, and at the end of the day it always comes down to -- will adding this lose me readers I otherwise would have retained? It's only a little upsetting if someone gets squicked and stops reading in the middle of my fic (really, it doesn't upset me at all because they don't tell me), but it's a lot upsetting -- the idea that someone will see a threesome or a het pairing and avoid the fic altogether. That, and I kind of like the surprise factor myself, and we get a lot less of it in fanfic, what with all the pairings, ratings, and warnings.
That said, I imagine I should trust people more with their own choices and tell them what's in the fic if they want to know. I do think I will edit this header, because...well, I don't know. But I was thinking I should. ;)
Thanks again! I'm excited to go read more of your fics after finding out you wrote one of my very favorites. Whee!
It was brilliant, is what I am saying.
And it's brilliant to meet you!
That is all.
:-D
I think that's the phrase of the day.
*is not a total arsehole*
