To patientiapudor, ms_hecubus, curiouscatz: You’ve been valuable beyond words! How much muck did you help me clean up? How many thoughts did you help me clarify? What a rewarding ass-kicking. Thank you for beta-reading.

OH! I sure hope you enjoy. :)

ahhh!!!! I did enjoy!!I loved your Harry to pieces!!

I'll be back with coherent comments!

flails!

Oh, I just saw this! I'm happy you enjoyed it. <3

Wow, this story is amazing! I really loved it. Poor Harry, so lost. I'm glad he found his way again. Ron and Hermione were great friends and Draco was awesome. He and Harry helped each other, somehow.

I liked that Lucius wasn't a bad dad, just a very pushy one. I'm sure he'll forgive Draco. And it seems Astoria didn't want to marry, either, so cancelling that wedding was good for both of them.

The story was long but it didn't feel long. I enjoyed every word ^^

Thanks so much! I like to think Lucius will forgive Draco, too, but I don't like to make the giving-up-his-family-obligations thing easy on on him. ;)

Thanks for the kind words.

I really enjoyed this! Very well written!

Thank you very much. :)

Thank you for this story. It is smart and kind. It took me through many emotions, and affirmed some things we humans can always use affirmation of - personal responsibility, allowing others theirs, being involved with those others, all sorts of things. Good work!

That's very nice of you to say. I'm glad you enjoyed it, and left such a nice thoughtful comment. :)

This was lovely. Your descriptions, especially in the first half when Harry was drinking were exceptionally well-done. Both Harry and Draco grew as characters in a believable way, and I loved their interactions. I also loved the portrayals of the usual villain-characters (Lucius, Ginny) and avoided that simple view.

Very enjoyable read.

Marianne, thank you so much! I'm glad you felt that way about the "villains". I was especially worried about Ginny appearing one-dimensional. :)

Your story I loved it. I read through the google translator because I do not speak English.
I wanted to leave you this message because it shows the effort and work you and I took seemed right to leave without leaving my gratitude.
It was original, engaging until the last second reading.

Oh, how nice. I hope it translated well! I'm very happy you enjoyed it.

Oh, you have no idea how much fun I had reading your story! I LOVED it.

It was such a journey! I suffered with Harry, he was driving me mad, every time he looked at that whiskey bottle. Man! :P And then... Oh no! lol Gah.

I loved it. I loved how you wrote him, i loved all the emotions he showed, how much he grew, you know? And Draco, oh Draco, he was so awesome, too. I fell in love with both of them. But I loved Ron and Hermione as well. Always standing by Harry, even when he messed up because they knew he needed them the most. I just loved it.

And at the end, well, at the wedding, you were trying to kill me, woman! :P!! And then Peter? I always knew he was bad news, but he wasn't so bad, really, at the end. :)

This was amazing. I loved every word. Thank you.

Oh my, I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it!

The wedding killed me a little bit, too. I knew I had to wrap that shit up fast once it looked like Draco had moved on, haha (but not before torturing Harry a bit first!).

Anyway, thank you for your kind words. And the rec! ;)

that was a wonderful fic! at first i wasn't sure about harry setting things on fire, but you really made it work. wonderfully written and very hot. very IC. loved it. thank you!

Oh, forgot to add, as i'm working as a psychotherapist for alcoholics at the moment, i must say i was impressed by how realistic you described his addiction and his struggles.

Oh, wow, thank you! That means a lot, as I did want it to seem realistic -- his emotional struggle, his mindset. Thanks for the kind words.

This was amazing. Your characters were so realistic with their flaws and conflicting desires, and you showed the work and reflection they each needed to do to find their own happiness. There were no villains or heroes, just people. I loved reading this and the ending left me a soppy mess. Fabulous work.

Thank you! The ending made me soppy, too. I like soppy. :o)

I'm having the pleasure of making my way through your fics. I loved Harry in this one. I bled for all the suffering he caused and how hard it was to admit the disappointment in himself and to his closest friends. So easy for him to check out. But Malfoy helped him not disconnect.

The subplot about Peter was really good. I didn't expect that - he seemed so sincere, and he was, but also so creepy and bad for himself and Harry.

Harry's tenderness towards Draco was really something. You write intimate scenes so very, very well. I want to wallow in them!

Aaah, I'm so happy you enjoyed this. I'm deeply conflicted by this fic, for boring reasons I won't go into, but it's heartening to know you enjoyed reading it! Re:the intimacy -- this story has probably my favorite sex scene (I assume that's what you meant?) that I've written. Harry is tender, but also trying to hold back some baser urges, and I love that about him.

Thanks so much! It's flattering you're reading through several of my fics (and kind of you to go forth and let me know). <3

I'm sort of curious what you didn't like about this one. It was a difficult premise to tackle, that's for sure.

Yes, I meant the sex scene. It was superb.

It's some really mundane writing stuff: I feel I could have told the story in significantly fewer words; I think I started the story in the wrong spot (if I did it over again, I would have started with Harry's arrival at Hogwarts and made it more of a mystery why he was on Ministry probation); and I should have split up the chapters to make it more manageable for the reader. I can do that last one now, but I'm being lazy about it. ;)
